Trauma - Informed

Safety and comfort are foundations for being able to do deep therapeutic work with trauma. You are the expert of you, and I prioritize your autonomy and agency in our work. I integrate trauma-informed theories in my work with clients, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and nervous system-based approaches (Polyvagal Theory).

Emotion-Focused

Profound healing is possible when our emotional experiences are seen and held by safe others. I pull from Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) to support clients in courageously experiencing their emotions. I’m passionate about helping clients increase their understanding of their emotional experiences, ultimately using their emotions to create change.

Authentic ity- Centered

I practice with authenticity and celebrate the uniqueness that each client brings with them into the therapeutic space. Humor and creativity often find their way into sessions. I weave in elements of Existential Therapy, which celebrates each individual’s innate authenticity and creativity. I consider it a privilege to build deep, healing connections with folks from all different paths of life.

“I HOPE YOU WILL GO OUT AND LET STORIES, THAT IS LIFE, HAPPEN TO YOU, AND THAT YOU WILL WORK WITH THESE STORIES... WATER THEM WITH YOUR BLOOD AND TEARS AND YOUR LAUGHTER TILL THEY BLOOM, TILL YOU YOURSELF BURST INTO BLOOM.”
